Envita Medical Centers of America works with other organizations to provide the latest and most comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and laboratory methods to help our patients reach their health goals. Let our team be part of your health.
Because assessments, diagnostics and laboratory tests are based on a patient's individual condition, not all the tests detailed in this section will be performed on each patient. This section gives you short descriptions of test that may be ordered.

Allergy Testing
It is estimated that 30% of all people suffer from allergies. Many allergies go undetected resulting in unexplained health problems. Allergies start when the body becomes sensitive to a foreign substance, which is known as an allergen. Pet dander, food, mold, environmental pollutants, pharmaceutical drugs and chemicals are all common allergens. Allergies develop in people at any age, and can be affected by stress, fatigue, infection, hormonal factors, and changes in the weather.
Amino/Essential Fatty Acid
Maintaining the proper levels of amino acids and essential fatty acids is critical for well-being. Deficiencies can result from poor diet and inadequate pancreatic enzymes or bile salts production. Fatigue, excessive thirst, immune deficiency, muscle weakness, vitamin deficiency, protein intolerance, diarrhea and brittle hair are common effects of improper levels. Amino Acid and Essential Fatty Acid Analysis assesses if a patient's body is currently at the optimum amino acid and essential fatty acid level.
Chemistry Panel
Chemistry panel is a general term for blood or urine tests that evaluate overall health. Tests include cholesterol and blood sugar levels, heart and diabetes risk indicators, as well as tests for kidney, liver, and thyroid function. If necessary, we will develop a customized chemistry panel to meet your specific needs.
Complete Blood Count
The Complete Blood Count (CBC) is one of the most commonly used blood tests. It analyzes red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The CBC counts these cells, measures hemoglobin, and estimates their size and volume. Envita Natural Medical Centers of America commonly uses a CBC to screen for many disorders including anemia, infection, leukemia, and lymphoma.
Cardiovascular Assessment
Comprehensive Cardiovascular Assessment, which uses blood samples, is based on the latest in cardiovascular research. Markers provide a thorough assessment of cardiovascular health status and can help address any heart or vascular abnormalities.
Digestive Stool Analysis
Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA) is a noninvasive diagnostic tool which evaluates digestive tract function and tests for yeast, bacteria, parasites, and pathogens. In some cases this test is recommended for our patients with chronic diarrhea, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, abdominal pain and inflammatory bowel disease.
Electrodermal Testing
Electrodermal Testing involves taking painless, electrical resistance readings on the surface of the skin at acupuncture points on the fingers. The subtle differences in electrical resistance detected by the sophisticated testing instrument determine. Electodermal testing is used in the detection of allergies sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies, energetically weak organs, and toxicities.
General Laboratory Tests
The Envita team can perform any of the following tests: LDL, HDC, blood sugar for diabetes and hypoglycemia, hemocult for blood in stool detection, hemoglobin for anemia, and urinalysis for urinary tract infection and disease. If any of these tests are required, they will be fully explained by our team.
Heavy Metal Analysis
Heavy Metal Analysis uses urine testing to assess the presence and levels of heavy or toxic metals. Heavy metals can come from our food, air and water. Specifically, metals can be found in deodorant, industrial byproducts, tainted drinking water, pesticides and even dental fillings. These toxins, which include lead, aluminum and cadmium, can build up in the body and can cause illness and immune deficiency. For more information on heavy metals, go to the Chelation Therapy section.
Hypercoagulability Testing
The term hypercoagulability refers to the defect of increased clotting and viscosity of blood. According to research, links have been found between hypercoagulability and Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Heart Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. Hypercoagulability testing is performed through blood tests.
Male/Female Hormone
Hormonal balance is important for the health and well-being of both men and women. At different periods in life, changes in hormone secretion levels can occur. Hormone Profiles help evaluate levels of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, growth hormone, and DHEA using either blood or saliva and can determine a need for hormone-replacement therapy. Let us know if we can provide you with any more information on our profiling.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal Imaging, otherwise known as thermography, uses sensitive cameras and computer systems to measure heat levels emitted from the body's surface,. Thermal imaging can be a helpful diagnostic tool for many conditions including Cancer, Arthritis, Heart Disease, and soft tissue injuries.
Tumor Markers
Tumor markers are substances, usually proteins that are found in the blood, urine or tissue of people with certain types of cancer. These markers are either produced by tumors or by the body in response to the presence of cancer or other conditions. Tumor marker diagnosis should be used in conjunction with other tests. In addition to diagnosis, tumor marker testing can also be useful for a patient's response to treatment.
Thyroid Assessment
Thyroid function has a profound impact on overall health due to its role in metabolism, vitamin utilization, mitochondrial function, digestive process, muscle and nerve activity, blood flow, oxygen utilization, hormone secretion, and sexual and reproductive health. Thyroid dysfunction can result in many problems including fatigue, weight gain, decreased memory and sex drive, poor sleep and coldness. Envita Natural Medical Centers of America uses various blood serum tests to analyze thyroid hormone secretion levels and metabolism.
Vitamin/Mineral Analysis
Without the correct levels of vitamins and minerals, achieving or maintaining good health would be difficult. Our bodies obtain vitamins and minerals from the food that we eat and many use supplements. Nutritional requirement assessment can help determine deficiencies in the body.
Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is not easy to diagnose simply with standardized lab testing because many times you will receive false positives. Envita works with a number of specialized laboratories that exclusively test for Lyme disease and co-infections of Lyme disease. This specialized testing ensures you receive the most accurate results available.
