Against All Odds Colon Cancer Patient Survives

Summary: A heart warming story of an end stage colon cancer patient and how a clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, Envita Natural Medical Centers of America helped her get her life back using natural immunotherapy treatments, which are now becoming widely researched in prestigious universities and hospitals around the United States.

June 7, 2005- In 2001, at the age of 39, Sandy Yozipovic, a wife and mother of two was diagnosed with stage three terminal adenocarcinoma of the colon (colon cancer), with metastasis throughout her lymph nodes.  Sandy had a tumor the size of her fist removed, which was doubling in size every 24 hours, along with her ovaries, 15 lymph nodes and 14 inches of her intestine.

Sandy traveled the nation seeking out the most prestigious doctors and facilities, all of who told her she had a poor chance of survival.

Like the 60 percent of cancer patients who seek alternative approaches to traditional medicine, Sandy sought a different approach for survival. She found Envita Natural Medical Centers of America; a clinic focused on building the immune system via research based non-toxic natural medicines from all over the world.

Envita Natural Medical Center used immunology based anti-cancer strategies to rebuild her immune system, aiding her body to a stronger cancer-fighting potential.

Not only did Sandy respond well, but also her "side effects", which included an increase in energy and quick wound healing, were like no other side effects from traditional cancer treatments like chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

The doctors at Envita Natural Medical Center comment on the treatment strategy.

"The bodys own immune system is the most powerful thing we have to fight cancer. If the immune system is impaired, patients have less of a chance of responding to any kind of treatment; if the immune system is healthy and intact, patients have a greater chance of responding to treatments".

According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 1,372,910 new cancer cases will occur among Americans this year.

This year cancer will claim the lives of 570,296 Americans, more than 1,500 people per day, surpassing heart disease as the leading cause of death. While some may argue that cancer detection methods have never been better, the number of lives claimed by cancer rises each year.

Despite decades of research and over a trillion dollars spent trying to eradicate cancer, the pharmaceutical industry still focuses on the development of new chemotherapeutic drugs.

Even though chemotherapy is designed to target cancer cells, it can destroy the whole immune system altogether.

Today, many facilities are conducting research in the area of cancer immunology, such as Stanford University, Rush Presbyterian Medical and Mayo Clinic among others.

It is quite possible that we have overlooked the most powerful cancer treatment yet: our own immune system.

After receiving treatments at Envita for seven months, Sandy went into remission and has been for 3 ½ years.

Sandy was empowered to challenge medicine and take her health care into her own hands.

"I thank God every day for being able to have another chance, to be able to see my children grow up and to grow old with the love of my life, Mark."
