Dr. John Oertle of Envita Medical Centers Clarifies the Connection Between Seed Oils and Breast Cancer on AZFamily

A recent research study has implicated seed and vegetable oils in potentially increasing the risk of breast cancer, raising concerns among Americans about finding suitable alternatives. “There are other oils that don't contain that molecule of omega-6, such as coconut oil, avocado oil, and olive oil, so these are better oils to include in your diet,” said Dr. John Oertle, Chief Medical Director of Envita Medical Centers.
Dr. Oertle and his team of specially trained physicians at Envita Medical Centers have been following the innovative approach of personalized precision integrative oncology, which also acknowledges the role of diet in triggering cancer growth. Explaining the potential role of vegetable and seed oils in promoting breast cancer, Dr. Oertle stated, “The presence of omega-6 in these oils supports the pathway that continues to lead to aggressive growth and rapid division in cancer cells.” He further added that these oils have been specifically linked to an aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
The Envita team has extensive experience in treating such aggressive forms of cancer, and in their clinical experience of over 25 years, they have been able to help many cancer patients who were left with limited options in standard cancer treatment facilities.
