This all started after Thomas came back from a backpacking trip in Utah, he began filling pain and swelling in his knees, ankles, and hips that only got worse over the next six months and by eight months he was deathly ill. By 2006 Thomas had almost lost complete control of the left side of his body and his quality of life was almost nonexistent. It would be three more years before Thomas received a blood culture confirming the presence of Lyme disease.
It was another four years of pain and strife after Thomas received his 2012 Lyme diagnosis before he would end up at Envita.
